How do we exist?

ESM Global University: From a Teacher’s Journey to a Gateway for Global Teaching Opportunities

ESM Global University was born from a teacher’s own journey—from starting from scratch to becoming an international educator in the United States. Our story began with the experience of joining the U.S. Teacher Exchange Program as a J-1 visa holder and teaching in a school in Texas. That firsthand experience inspired the creation of ESM Global University as a teacher recruitment and support agency dedicated to helping qualified educators pursue teaching opportunities across the United States.

We understand that becoming an international teacher can be challenging. Teachers must navigate recruitment, credential evaluation, state requirements, documentation, interviews, visa procedures, and cultural adjustment. Because we have experienced this journey ourselves, we understand the questions, uncertainties, and challenges that overseas teachers face.

ESM Global University aims to bridge the gap between qualified international educators and U.S. schools seeking talented teachers. We assist teachers in understanding available opportunities, preparing professional documents, identifying suitable teaching positions, and navigating the recruitment process. Depending on the teacher’s qualifications and circumstances, opportunities may include elementary education, secondary education, mathematics, science, English, special education, bilingual education, ESL, STEM, and other high-demand areas.

The U.S. Department of State recognizes the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program, which allows qualified international educators to teach full-time in accredited U.S. primary and secondary schools, subject to program and state requirements.

ESM Global University is more than a recruitment agency—it is a teacher-led platform built from real experience, designed to help educators turn their dream of teaching in America into a professional journey.

This wording keeps the claim accurate: ESM Global University can serve as a recruitment/support agency, while the J-1 visa and DS-2019 are handled through a U.S. Department of State-designated J-1 sponsor.

Job offer and Visa process

USA Job Offer & Visa Support

At ESM Global University, we support qualified international teachers throughout their journey toward teaching in the United States—from preparing their application to receiving a U.S. school job offer and preparing for the appropriate visa process.

Our service helps candidates identify suitable teaching opportunities, connect with participating schools and recruitment partners, and prepare for interviews and employment requirements. When a teacher is selected by a school, we provide guidance in understanding the job offer, employment documents, and next steps toward visa processing.

For teachers pursuing the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program, we help candidates understand the required documentation, eligibility requirements, and coordination with the appropriate U.S. Department of State-designated J-1 sponsor. Visa approval remains the decision of the U.S. government and is not guaranteed by ESM Global University.

Our goal is to make the international teacher recruitment process organized, transparent, and accessible—from Resume/CV preparation, school connection, interview preparation, job offer, and visa guidance to your journey as a teacher in the USA.

ESM Global University — Your Journey. Your Opportunity. Your Classroom in America.

What is J1 Visa for teachers?

The J-1 Teacher Exchange Visa Program provides qualified international educators with an opportunity to teach full-time in accredited primary and secondary schools in the United States while participating in a cultural and professional exchange. It allows teachers to share their educational practices, culture, and international perspectives with American students and colleagues while gaining valuable experience within the U.S. education system.

At ESM Global University, we help international teachers understand and prepare for the J-1 Teacher Exchange pathway. Our support may include USA-ready Resume/CV preparation, identification of suitable teaching opportunities, school and recruitment connections, interview preparation, job-offer guidance, document preparation, and orientation regarding the visa process.

To qualify, applicants generally need to meet requirements established by the U.S. Department of State and the relevant J-1 sponsor, including appropriate educational qualifications, teaching experience, English proficiency, and eligibility to teach in the state where the school is located. Teachers must also satisfy the requirements of the specific exchange program and host school.

ESM Global University does not issue J-1 visas or guarantee visa approval. Instead, we help qualified educators navigate the recruitment process and connect with appropriate schools and authorized J-1 sponsors.
